Trailer Boat Magazine – What a Catch

How many times have you been frustrated by inexperienced boaters at a busy ramp, holding up the works with inappropriate boat trailers and techniques? Even with a good, modern drive-on trailer, the singlehanded operator can cause enormous frustration by not being properly equipped. A Boatcatch is the answer to all of those launching and retrieving woes.

BoatCatch
WHAT WE DO

Modernise your launch ramp practices.

Thank goodness for BOATCATCH. For around 80 years prior to 2008 when Boatcatch was invented, most people winched their boats onto trailers, with many having to struggle and push and bounced the boat to get it off. Those bad old days are over thanks to Boatcatch.

Custom Mounts

Standard Boatcatch Mount System Not For You?

If you have one of those rare combinations of Boat and Trailer that does not perfectly suit our standard mounts, then just ask us for a solution. We hold stock of extremely short simple mounts for those tight situations. We also have Boatcatch kits with the mounts removed so that you have no waste when you make your own custom arm and mount plate. This request is common on aluminium trailers.

Boatcatch was invented by Greg Staples.
Greg is a mechanic engineer who has also been a Southern Ocean commercial abalone diver for 35 years. Greg launches and retrieves his 7 meter trailer boats over 100 times every year. His experience allowed him to design the ultimate launch and retrieve tool.
